How companies gain approval to use a JD Power award

JD Power has strict guidelines for advertising claims, and every claim related to a study is reviewed prior to publication to ensure accuracy. Only the highest-ranked performers in pre-defined categories are eligible to license the use of JD Power awards in advertising. Results are based on measures of customer experience and not necessarily on statistical significance. Our experience indicates that even when small differences occur in the scores of those being measured, these perceived differences can drive competition in the marketplace — improving product and service quality and increasing overall customer satisfaction.
